In Conversation

Adult event

Recommended age:
Adults only

A discussion forum for artists and teachers (with tea and cake!)

"In conversation" is a chance to meet three festival companies and find out more about their approach to creating powerful performance for young children. How do they develop a good idea? What are the boundaries - if any? Is there an ideal way to present theatre to young audiences? How do you address the different perspectives of disabled children?

Sessions:-
Tues 1st June - Goele van Djick (Artistic Director of Nat Gras and director of Sheeptight!)
Post show conversation- Where dance meets play - creating dance performance for pre-school children.
Fri 4th June - Tim Webb (Artistic Director of Oily Cart and director of Drum)
Conversation + demonstration - Immersive theatre - Oily Cart's multi-sensory worlds.
Tues 8th June - Andy Canon + Iain Johnstone (Co-directors of Wee Stories and performers / creators of Tresure Island).
Post show conversation - One upon a time - the story of Wee Stories.
