From the moment that Father is taken away, the children and their mother are forced to leave their London home and move to a small house in the North. There they fall in love with the railway and make friends with all those who work on it. Many adventures follow but still the mystery remains - where is Father and will he ever return?

During the light hearted first act, some children are rehearsed into small parts while the rest of the audience is taught the chorus songs. After the interval the show runs seamlessly with everyone taking part.
