Tales from the Riverbank

The Spark Festival presents:

Tales from the Riverbank

Participation

Recommended age:
5+
Duration:
2 hours

Come down by the riverside for some watery stories along the Leicester’s very own river Soar! Well, it may not be as mighty as the Thames, as romantic as the Seine, as dramatic as the Ganges, but let’s be proud of its charm and history and enjoy a summer walk along its banks in the company of four wonderful storytellers.

We’ll have a story in the new playspace on Aylestone Meadows and then walk and talk and listen for just over a mile along the towpath. After refreshments at King’s Lock Tea Rooms, transport for tired legs will be provided back to the car park.

Easy walking along the towpath, fully accessible for wheelchairs/buggies. Meet at Aylestone Mill Car Park (off Aylestone Road)

Our story writing competition is on the theme "A Riverside Tale" - why not enter and send us your story- click here for more information.
