We are delighted to welcome Theatre Centre back to The Spark in 2009 with a powerful play about moving home, missing friends and learning to look forward instead of back.
Jake has just moved to the country from London. He misses his best friend Raymond. He doesn’t like the country, it’s green and empty. One day, out playing alone, Jake encounters Cake - a girl his own age. Cake has lived in the country all her life; she loves it and the stories that have made it so full of intrigue and magic. Like the tale of the wishing tree, will it really grant Jake’s wish for Raymond to be with him?
Jake and Cake is performing in schools as part of the "At Your School" programme.
