Welcome to The Spark! |

Welcome to the 6th Spark! We hope you will find plenty to entertain you over the 15 days of the festival - plays and puppetry on big and small stages all over the city and county, music in city parks, storytelling trails, and visual arts exhibitions and workshops.
This year's festival is rich in stories from near and far worlds- Arabian Nights, Aesop's Fables, Grimm and Hans Anderson as well as modern day tales, like the hilarious "Shopping for Shoes" and magical "The Snail and the Whale". Don't miss the truly astounding water-theatre productiona of Sinbad at Cossington Street Sports Centre complete with pirates, sea monsters and hairy dwarves!
For children who want to have a go themselves there are workshops in art, music, dance and singing, and even a chance to get into the water and perfect your own sea-monster swimming technique in the Sinbad workshops!
The Spark is a space for children - and families and teachers - to have new experiences of the arts, to experiment, to be inspired and have fun together.
This year's brochure will be launched on 12th April. In the meantime, last year's brochure can be downloaded following the link on this page.
To be sent a copy of the brochure, please send us your contact details using the contact page. To be notified of Spark events via email, please use the "Join the Mailing List" link on this page.
We look forward to meeting you at the festival!
